The Calm Before The Storm
Once again, we've kicked off the hurricane season in Florida: often a cause for panic, stress and frustration in those who live and work here. We're here to give a little back to the community by adding some excitement to these times that need not be in the form of a neighbor's prosthetic leg that got loose in the wind.
And speaking of wind, there are three classifications we are concerned with:
- Tropical Storm (average winds 39-73mph)
- Hurricane Category 1-3 (sustained winds 74-130mph)
- Hurricane Category 4+ (sustained winds 130mph+)
With these in mind, the winner of this match is the one who correctly predicts the classifications of the most storms on this year's ballot. Grand prize will be awarded at a hurricane party whose dates & times will be determined by nature.
Instructions:
Pull up the ballot and make your predictions for the storm names based on severity. Include an alias and make sure to use a valid email address to qualify for the prize!
